Our friends Diarrhea Planet are a great band with a horrible name. The Nashville punks pulled an awesome sneak attack on the Casbah Saturday night and came on just as Nobunny had finished tearing the place apart. The boys nailed two shows in one night and were looking at a very late and long drive out of town. Instead they took a detour straight to Mission Beach to dip their toes in the ocean and crash on Rock Team Captain Rob Molt’s floor. See them on tour and invite them to crash at your place.
Our good friends and one of North County San Diego’s loudest indie rock bands, Kut-U-Up, is back with a new EP. ‘Worse Than Wolves’ is their first release in a few years and we couldn’t be happier. Make sure you pick this one up now, because you never know with these guys…..

After a long haul up the coast the 9-Ball Truck and the Roots Robot came to rest at the Monterey County Fairgrounds for the 4th annual California Roots Festival. So many smiles, new friends, and more reggae than you can shake a rasta colored stick at.

Between our beloved Casbah, a Colorado train ride, and the legend Leon Russel, our own Low Volts is in for one long dirty summer. If you find yourself between Durango or Mission Viejo be sure to buy our guy a drink and go get some tattoos. North East rockers, keep your ear out for more June dates coming soon…
“It’s too hot, the lines are too long, it’s so dusty.” The Coachella Music and Arts Festival may be a little of those things, but we love music and art too much to care. Here are some images from Sector 9’s 3 days of escapism!
