The 5th Annual California Roots Music & Arts Festival has come and gone but the memories and good times will live on. Bob your head to the campsite jams of KBong and friends while taking a look at the festival through the eyes of the 9. A special thanks to all of the bands and musicians, the organizers, the fans, and everyone who rode their skateboard or bike to the festival. See you all next year and don't forget to check out the photos from our festival lensman Tucker Hall here: https://www.facebook.com/tucker.hall.98/media_set?set=a.10203206545995992.1073741825.1578600365
Ground control to Sector 9, the Carbon Flight has landed. 5-plies of maple sandwiched between carbon fiber and fiberglass has never looked so good. This board comes complete with everything you need to glide across any paved surface... and some unpaved. Watch as the Downhill Division puts it through its paces.
On the heels of the Catalina Island Classic, our old friend, and Grind TV’s colorful character Chris Cote reached out to us about the current state of downhill. He wanted to get caught up with the scene, so we sat him down with Louis Pilloni. Chris asked, Louis answered; get a load of these two.
Returning back to the island getaway for a lucky 3rd year meant that the Downhill Division had one thing on their mind... win everything! The competition was fierce, the party was legendary, and when the dust settled local bomber AJ Haiby had claimed the crown! Congrats to all of the riders who made the journey and raced their wheels off!
The Downhill Division invaded The Catalina Island Classic winning the race over 128 of the world's best downhill skateboarders. Follow the Sector 9 team down the race course on this tight technical track as Chance Gaul and Ethan Lau lead the pack. Congratulations to A.J. Haiby on the win! Full video coming soon...
With the Australian summer coming to a close Chad Gibson and the crew from Animal House Reference have been exploring, filming, and skating as much as they can. Gibbo nails a flowy raw run then cools off with some cliff jumping.
